English from day one
An official and teaching language. Health and safety training, workstation instructions and daily communication need no interpreter — the strongest advantage over Asian origins.

Kenya is East Africa's best-educated labour market and the one origin where English is an official language. We run the whole process: sourcing and NITA certificate verification, the Employment Agency (AVRM) labour market check, the single permit for residence and work, the national D visa in Nairobi, plus relocation and onboarding in North Macedonia.
Kenya · East Africa
Kenya is the economic hub of East Africa: Nairobi hosts regional headquarters of manufacturing and logistics companies, Mombasa is the largest port in the region, and the Rift Valley is the base of export agriculture. Candidates arrive with real industrial experience, not just a diploma.
The biggest advantage of this origin is language. English is an official language and the medium of instruction, so a worker understands health and safety training, quality procedures and supervisor instructions from day one. This shortens induction and measurably reduces early mistakes.
The second advantage is the TVET vocational system: polytechnics and technical institutes issue NITA and KNEC certificates in welding, electrical, mechanical and construction trades. Documents are issued in English, which simplifies verification and sworn translation.
Formally, Kenya requires the full path: an Employment Agency (AVRM) labour market check, a single permit for residence and work issued by the Ministry of Interior (MVR) and a national D visa at the Embassy of North Macedonia in Nairobi. One coordinator runs the entire process and you receive a single schedule with dates for each stage.

An official and teaching language. Health and safety training, workstation instructions and daily communication need no interpreter — the strongest advantage over Asian origins.
NITA certificates, KNEC and polytechnic diplomas in technical trades. Documents in English, easy to verify and sworn-translate.
Candidates have worked in manufacturing plants, on construction sites, at the port of Mombasa and in Nairobi distribution centres. They know shift work, output targets and large teams.
Kenya is a global exporter of flowers, tea, coffee and vegetables. Candidates know greenhouses, sorting lines and cold stores as well as GlobalG.A.P. standards.
Working abroad is treated as a family investment. High attendance, willingness to work overtime and low turnover during the contract.
We work only with licensed partners and apply a zero candidate fee policy. That protects the employer's reputation and keeps teams stable.
Qualifications
Each candidate profile includes scans of diplomas and NITA certificates, work history, references, an English level assessment and — for technical trades — documentation of a practical skills test.
NITA and KNEC certificates
National trade certificates issued after a practical exam in welding, electrical, mechanical and construction occupations. We verify them with the issuing body, not only in the candidate's file.
Polytechnic and TVET institute diplomas
Kenyan polytechnics train technicians and operators in programmes that combine theory with plant practice, so graduates have documented workshop or shop-floor hours.
Work history and references
We check employment at specific employers: manufacturing, construction, the port, logistics, export farms and hotels. References are confirmed by phone.
English level and optional practical test
A video interview assessing communication. For welders and operators, work samples with photo documentation and visual assessment are available only as an optional paid add-on on client request.
The region of origin translates directly into the candidate's professional profile.
Nairobi and surroundings
Industry, logistics, construction and services. The largest pool of technicians, warehouse staff and production workers. The Embassy of North Macedonia is located here.
Mombasa and the coast
Port operations, freight forwarding, handling and hospitality. Candidates with port logistics experience and international-standard guest service.
Nakuru and the Rift Valley
Export agriculture: floriculture, vegetables, sorting lines and cold stores. Work under GlobalG.A.P. standards and export discipline.
Kisumu and the lake region
Fish and food processing, construction and trades. Candidates used to physical work in cold stores and on production lines.
Eldoret and Kericho
Tea plantations, processing and agricultural logistics. High readiness to relocate and experience with intensive seasonal work.
We run the process in five stages: call, quote and contract; sourcing and pre-selection in Kenya; Employment Agency (AVRM) labour market check and single permit for residence and work; documents and the national D visa in Nairobi; relocation and onboarding. Each stage has a clear deadline and a full document set.

With Kenya, two things drive the schedule: the Ministry of Interior (MVR)'s decision time and visa appointment availability in Nairobi. Both are factored into the quote from day one.

Industries
This origin is chosen when communication and independence on the job matter. English as standard means candidates quickly pick up procedures, machine operation and customer contact.
Candidates from large sites in Nairobi and Mombasa: structures, finishing, electrical and sanitary installations. They read schedules and documentation in English.
Machine operators and line workers from regional plants. Shift work, output targets and quality procedures need no translation.
The port of Mombasa and Nairobi distribution centres are a real base of warehouse staff, forklift operators and forwarding workers who use WMS systems in English.
Kenya exports flowers, vegetables, tea and coffee to the European Union. Candidates know greenhouses, harvesting, sorting and GlobalG.A.P. standards.
Fish processing plants on Lake Victoria and coastal food factories. Cutting, filleting, packing and cold store work with no ramp-up period.
Hotels in Mombasa and Nairobi serve guests from all over the world. Candidates have international-standard experience and speak English fluently.
If you need the fastest possible start, Georgia will be quicker. We choose Kenya where English, independence and procedure-driven work are critical.
Roles
This origin performs best in roles that require communication: mixed crews, machine operation to written instructions, logistics and guest service. For technical trades we can arrange an optional practical test as a paid add-on on client request.

A comparison of typical differences in the process and candidate profile.
| Criterion | Kenya | Other origins |
|---|---|---|
| Language | English as an official language – no interpreter | Conversational English (Philippines) or a crew leader required |
| Candidate profile | Construction, manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, hospitality | More often a narrow industrial specialisation |
| Legal basis | single permit for residence and work and national D visa in Nairobi | Declaration at the labour office (Georgia) or A + DOLAB (Vietnam) |
| Process time | 4 to 6 months | 3 to 6 weeks (Georgia) or 3 to 5 months (Philippines) |
| Documents | Diplomas and certificates issued in English | Translations from local languages required |

Cultural integration
Teams from Kenya settle in quickly thanks to the language, but a few things are worth setting up at the start. Below are four factors that in practice decide whether the first year passes without turnover.
Climate and the first weeks
Kenya sits on the equator — candidates have never experienced sub-zero temperatures. A winter clothing pack on arrival and scheduling arrivals outside peak frost measurably reduce drop-outs.
English versus Macedonian on the shop floor
English solves communication with management, but crews often speak Macedonian. Bilingual workstation instructions and a basic Macedonian course after arrival close the gap within the team.
Food and meals
Ugali, rice, beans and vegetables are diet staples. Kitchen access at the accommodation and an African grocery nearby have a real impact on how the team feels.
Residence and banking formalities
Residence registration, EMBG, a bank account and the renewal of the single permit application fill the first weeks. The coordinator books appointments and tracks deadlines so legal status is never interrupted.
